LECTURE TITLE: MISCONCEPTION IN ENDODONTIC SURGERY!

Microsurgical endodontics is an advanced dental procedure that uses a microscope and special instruments to perform treatment with high precision and minimal invasiveness. It follows the same basic biological principles as traditional endodontics: Shaping, Cleaning & Packing. These steps — cleaning the area, shaping the root, and filling it—are adapted to the surgical context but aim to remove infection and seal the root effectively.
The success of the surgery depends on the ability to adapt each step to the real anatomy of the tooth and any possible complications, rather than following a fixed plan. It’s important that the anatomy guides the apical resection, not the other way around. A flexible and personalized approach helps protect healthy tissue, improves visibility, and makes the procedure easier and more successful.
